4 Steps to Get a Real Estate License


Step 1: Make sure you qualify

To obtain a Massachusetts real estate license you need to meet just two criteria:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Have a social security number

Step 2: Complete the course

Massachusetts requires that all candidates complete a 40-hour real estate license exam prep course. Our course can be completed in 2-3 weeks and we’ll be here every step of the way to help.



Step 3: Ace the test

You will have four hours to complete 120 multiple-choice questions. The test is broken into two sections: National (80 questions) and Massachusetts (40 questions). A passing score is 70% or higher.

Step 4: Congrats, you’re licensed

Yes, Keep Me Certified (license #1268) is a fully accredited online real estate school (since 2012) by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure. We were one of the first schools approved to teach the Real Estate License Exam Prep course online and have been continuing to update and improve it ever since.
We use a book we produced specifically for our course. This book is not available for purchase outside of our course or anywhere else on the internet.
On average it takes 2-4 weeks to complete our course, but it depends on your avaialability and motivation. Upon completing our course, you will receive a Candidate Handbook which includes your certificate and the paperwork you need to fill out and submit to become eligible to schedule the exam. This is the same process for all real estate schools in Massachusetts. We`ll be here to assist you at every step - until you retire.
Our Real Estate License Exam Prep course is a 40-credit hour course and takes approximately 40 hours to complete. You will gain immediate access to the first part of our course upon registering and we will be here at every step of the way to answer questions, guide you through the process, and help you jumpstart your new career.
In short, yes. Our system remembers where you leave off, so if you log out and back in at a later time you wil have the ability fast forward and rewind within the portion of the video you have already completed. You cannot fast forward through the course without completing it first.
